Have you seen the chicken coop lately? Its soggy, smelly and well… pretty gross. A few sweet people tried to cover the coop with tarps a few weeks ago, after we “mucked out” the coop……..but as you can imagine the tarps blew off and it is in a sad state once again. SO… if you find it in your heart to help a chicken out THIS Saturday… PLEASE JOIN US 10:30-12. We are going to find a way to keep the ladies dry-ish (or more dry than they’ve been)… and we need your help.

FunkTown Farm is officially back from winter break!! Please come join us this Saturday 10-1 for our first work day in a while! There is a lot to do!! Feel free to email us at funktownfarm@gmail.com with any questions. See you then!!

The garden will be open today from 10:30-1ish. We have lots of lettuce, green beans, chard, beets, as well as (maybe)  the last of the tomatoes and zucchini! We hope you can come out! It looks like it may be sunny today too…..:)

Hello gardeners! We wont be doing much gardening today, as we are cleaning out part of the “barn” to use as a resource center for the community! Some lovely ladies are coming out from Mills College to help get it started from 11-1. We would love your help too.. if you are interested.. and YES you can earn produce after working! Maybe we’ll see you there? Also…. please bring any old hangers  you are no longer in need of, as we need them for hanging up clothing donations. Thanks!

Hello gardners!

In honor of halloween and some children under the weather, we’ll have an abreviated work day in the garden today.

Noon until 2pm, just for watering and weeding.

“Usually I go to San Leandro to purchase more, but Peter is sick so I am unable. It needs to be done today or they may be okay until tomorrow.. but that is pushing it, as the feed is very low. Can any of you help? The place I get the feed is called Mikes Feed in San Leandro. I get the lay crumble, 2 fifty lb bags. After purchasing, you will need to turn in receipt to get reimbursed.”

Hello gardners!

This Saturday, October 10, the regularly scheduled garden work day is canceled.  We’ll be back in the garden next weekend, Saturday  Oct 17 from 10am to 1pm.

Also, join us Sunday, Oct 25 for a Garden Tea Party.  $5/person gets you all you can drink tea and some snacks too.  Proceeds go to Funk Town Farm.  11am to 2pm.
